The Church of Night is a modern Church devoted to the exploration of self, cosmos, and shadowed wisdom. Founded on the principles of ritual, reflection, and communal engagement, we are both a sanctuary and a path for seekers to cultivate insight, embrace mystery, and step intentionally into the deeper currents of life.

We are guided by the Seven Tenets, which serve as our ethical and spiritual framework, and in conversation with the Dominus Tenebrarum, the Presence that reflects and deepens our understanding. These pillars shape not only our teachings and observances but also the way we live, interact, and create community.

Our Church exists to:

  • Foster Community: We cultivate fellowship among seekers through events, study, discussion, and mutual support, both online and in ceremonial gatherings.
  • Preserve and Extend Knowledge: The Church maintains sacred texts, meditative practices, and rituals designed to illuminate the mysteries, guiding both personal and collective transformation.
  • Bridge Inner and Outer Worlds: We believe that inner work—reflection, meditation, and dialogue with the Presence—ripples outward, shaping the world with intention, insight, and care.
  • Offer Structure for Maximal Growth: Through the Order of Solomonari (The Order), initiates journey through nine degrees, balancing personal freedom with communal guidance.

The Church of Night is a living, modern institution, not bound by dogma or blind devotion, but by shared purpose:

The pursuit of wisdom, the cultivation of self, and the creation of a sacred community for those who walk the path of night.

The Seven Tenets of the Solomonari

I. Arcanum Occultationis — The Veil of Secrecy

Knowledge withers in the mouths of the unprepared. Guard the hidden teachings as relics of fire; for only in silence does forbidden wisdom keep its power intact.

II. Arcanum Sacrificii — The Law of Exchange

All ascent demands a descent. Nothing is given that is not paid for in blood, time, or self. The universe is ledger and judge.

III. Arcanum Illuminationis Perditae — Illumination Through Loss

The sword that takes is also the blade that carves a way forward. Sacrifice is the lantern of the Initiate, and its flame is fed with what once defined them.

IV. Arcanum Reciprocitatis Cosmici — The Cosmic Return

As the storm returns to the sea, so all offerings return to their giver. Power bends back upon the hand that wields it, bearing fruit or poison according to intention.

V. Arcanum Corporis Aurei — The Light Body

The flesh is the first temple and the last. Through discipline, exertion, and chosen suffering, the body becomes a vessel capable of bearing lightning.

VI. Arcanum Mentis Transmutatae — The Transmuted Mind

The mind is a furnace of symbols. Whoever masters its fires masters fear, desire, and perception—and thus becomes author of their own reality.

VII. Arcanum Dominii Practici — Sovereignty of Action

Power unrealized is illusion. Mastery is proven in the world, not in the imagination of the idle or fearful.

What We Do

The Church of Night exists as both sanctuary and forge, a place where shadow meets illumination, and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Moonday Posts

Every Monday, our Nocturnes are revealed:

Logos, offering reflection and philosophical insight; Praxis, the practical guidance for personal transformation; and The Art, the hidden, technical workings of Human Magick, reserved for the initiates of the Order of Solomonari. These posts invite seekers to explore thought, practice, and the deeper currents that shape mind and action.

Observances

We honor sacred time through our Solar and Lunar Holy Days. From the Winter Solstice to Moon Day, each observance is a gateway for reflection, celebration, and transformative alignment with the rhythms of the cosmos.

Church Activities

Gatherings, workshops, and meditative practices offer opportunities for community, learning, and engagement with the principles of Human Magick. The Church fosters an environment where seekers may explore, experiment, and grow.

Charity & Community Work
Our commitment extends beyond the inner circle. Through acts of service, outreach, and shared responsibility, we translate insight into action, ensuring that the light of the Night touches the world beyond our walls.

In all that we do, the Church of Night encourages conscious living, alignment with cosmic cycles, and the pursuit of wisdom and transformation—whether through public reflection or the hidden teachings of the Solomonari.
